truck stopped running while driving down the street

1989 Nissan hardbody 5spd...

I was driving along and the engine just kind of sputtered and shut off. I pulled over to the side of the road and got out after popping the hood. I didnt seen anything leaking or anything broken. Im not getting any gas through the line... i had quarter of a tank and it was like 15-20 degrees outside. it wouldnt start with starting fluid or when i put more gas into the tank. idk if the gas is frozen or if my fuel pump went out

i was also told that it could be a timing chain. any suggestions on what it could be?

I'd suspect the fuel pump first. Did you check the fuse yet?

If it would run if you poured more fuel into the fuel tank then I would say your fuel gauge is reading incorrectly.

ok guys thanks for the help

. i have an update for you now. i had a bad coil so i replaced it and i have fuel and i have fire now but it still wont start. could it be a ignition fuse or some type of other fuse? any and all help about what it could be is greatly appreciated thanks.

ok so i figured it out two days ago it was a screw from the rotor button to the shaft for the distributer
