I recently began having trouble sarting my 94 Hardbody 4cyl manual. I hear the fuel pump but the truck doesn't start. Occasionally it will start after a few tries, and occasionally if I let it sit for a couple minutes it will start. The battery is brand new and the alternator tested good. Any ideas?

i had something similar happen to my 91. I found out that it was the ignition wire going into the starter seloined was loose. all i did was wiggle it a few times and it hasnt do it sence. try that and if dosnt work make sure yore getting power through that wire.

Is the starter spinning and the truck isn't turning over, or is the starter clicking?

Sounds like a bad solenoid to me. When was the last time you took the starter out and gave it a good cleaning JK-LA?

Take the starter out and bench test it.
