Got a 90 model hardbody truck. At idle it runs smooth but when you add a little peddle it starts a quick surging action. I've replaced fuel filter, fuel pressure reg.,plugs, rotor, cap, wires,a/f meter, ecu, ecu codes don't show anything. Can i plug the egr, aiv, and bpt, to see if its one of them, I'm replacing the clutch so it will be a few days before i can get it started again. It's raining and i work on it outside. This was the most dependable truck i've ever had sure do want to fix it myself.

Is it possible for the scv to malfuntion and cause the butterflys to open and close when acceling. The top of the scv has a rubber boot thats crumbly. I read where you can remove these butterflys if so how? What device is directly below the intake has couple of vaccum lines and what looks like a sensor conector plug. I've replaced all vaccum lines.

Are there other sites that anyone knows of that can offer some help to someone who wants to fix things without paying 90 an hour. Not much help here, guess everyone here thinks nissan only makes 240s.

sounds like a Throttle position sensor. Try unplugging it then run it. It should at least not surge.
