New member here and just bought a 03 M45 and the "check engine soon" light and warning light came one. Took it to back to the dealership and they tested it and code P0430 came up. They reset the light and it came back on after 140 miles. Has anybody had this same issue or know what might be the problem. Thnxs in advance...FYI took it to autozone and had them check it and got:
-Catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank-2
-Large vaccum leak
-Rich AF ratio-fuel system faulty
-Ignition system malfuction
-Faulty catalytic converter

IDK. Maybe a bad oxygen sensor or bad catalytic converter?

When you refuel, do you tighten your gas cap until it clicks? If so, you should still check and make sure you did at your last fill-up. If it tightens at all before it clicks, or if you have never been one to tighten it until it clicks, the first thing you should do is tighten your gas cap until it clicks and then have autozone reset the light again. Then, if it comes back on with the gas cap fully tightened for the duration of this tank and all future tanks, you can start worrying about what is actually bad.

It's a bad cat. I have the same code and it comes and goes. Mostly around the time the gas stations stock up on winter gas then when switching to summer gas. I actually just reset until I'm ready to replace the Y pipe then I'll get two new higher flowing cats as well.
