I just got the engine back in my car after about 5 months of it being out (had to swap out the turbos because the ones in it were burning oil badly). So I have it to where the engine will start and run as long as I am feathering the throttle. I disconnected the IAA and cleaned it according to the posts that I have read (well sprayed it out with WD-40).

What it is doing is it will idle for about 4-8 seconds around 900 RPMs, the it will sputter down and shut off. It ran and idled fine before I pulled the engine. As far as I can tell everything is hooked up correctly.

It isn't ready to drive yet because I still have to get the steering column hooked back up, the exhaust isn't hooked back up yet, and the driver o2 sensor needs to be reinstalled, that is why I haven't ran the car enough to get it up to operating temperature.

Could only having downpipes affect its idle? What other things should I check? I have ran out of troubleshooting ideas.

You 83.248% have a vacuum/boost leak somewhere between the turbo and the TB. I had almost the identical problem once upon a time, the thread is a few down from this one, check it out for some pointers.

I found the leak. It is starting to idle better. Thanks for the advice.
