I am the relatively new user of a 2011 Rogue and using it on first family trip. I have been baffled as to why I cannot power/charge my macbook using a power inverter plugged into either outlet. I have tested the inverter (which is new) in a different car and no problem. There is power coming from the outlet, as there is power to charge my son's nintendo DS. Am I just asking too much power of it? Disappointing and surprising, if so. Thanks for any help.

DEPENDS ON THE WATTAGE OF YOUR POWER INVERTER.

YOU STATED THAT YOU TESTED THE POWER INVERTER IN ANOTHER CAR, BUT YOU DIDNT STATE IF THAT INCLUDED TRYING TO CHARGE YOUR LAPTOP.

Yes, sorry. Everything worked in the other car (inverter & charging of laptop).
