Hey there I have a 1963 L320 and I am missing some parts for the oil filter housing. So I am looking to convert it to a spin on style. Does anybody know of a kit that can be purchased, or where I can get the parts for the housing?

Thanks in advance,
Rindress

I have a spin on filter on my '63. Give me few days and I'll take a look and see if I can find a part #. I will also check with Victoria British to see if a some Midget/Sprite part works.

If you simply need new parts for the messy canister filter let me know and I can send you the part #s and where to get them.

How did you modify it for the spin on filter. That would be a good option as well. Do you happen to have a photo of what it looks like?

Thanks in advance,

Know idea where the spin on adapter came from. Whitey, the '63, also has a gear reduction starter and has been converter to an alternator (negative ground). Will post a few photo in a day or two. Whitey is outside and has an inch or two on snow covering him up.

I think the spin on adapter from a Sprite/Midget should work as the E1 is a copy of the BMC A motor found I all of your early Sprites, Midgets, Morris Minors, etc.

Again, not sure if the Sprite/Midget spin on adapter works, but here is the part number from Victoria British -
9-1067, cost is a little steep at $124.00. Number is 1-800-255-0088. or go to www.victoriabritish.com and take a look.

Let me know what other info you might need,

Do you have the early cast oil filter housing or the later model bolt on oil filter housing?

I'm heading down to Victoria British next week to pick up some parts for my brother's English car addiction and can take my one block, oil filter housing and canister and size thing up for you if you would like. Just let me know.

Here is the address to my flickr page if you would like to take a look at the different type oil filters.

I think this should work....
