So a little history i bought my 96 pathfinder 4x4 3.3 v6. Guy said that his buddy just put a fuel pump in it. I went and drove it home 2 and half hours had some slight hesitation around 45-50 mph but cleared up on interstate could feel it jerk slightly every now and then. I got home drove it like this 2 months then one day i went to come home and getting on the highway it wouldn't accelerate jerking and wouldn't go over 3k rpm. I took it to shop and he said had a code for knock sensor and 3rd gear ratio wrong, said he thought it was the cat stopped up. Went and got it and drove it home and ran fine just the normal slight jerk every now and then. The next day wouldn't go over 3500 rpms, let it sit overnight and the next day it ran back to normal. I stopped by shop by my house and they looked at it and said it could be the fuel pump if they put cheap one in it. I put it up for sell guy took it to his mechanic and they said it needed timing belt that it jumped time and two knock sensors (i thought the 96 3.3 only had one knock sensor). Well i replaced timing belt water pump belt tensioner and cam and crank seals. Ran good for drive around the block. Then last night drove to dinner started to run like crap again stopped and put gas in it and couldn't get it to accelerate over 2k rpm. Came home went out today and ran fine drove 10 mins stopped when i went to leave it wouldn't crank. Sprayed some starting fluid in and fired right up but had to limp it home. My question is I'm thinking fuel pump but could be wrong anyone have any suggestions.

Your MAF sensor is probably dirty or failing. Try cleaning it using MAF sensor cleaner spray.
