trouble with DTC codes for 1996 240sx

My 96 240sx is throwing codes p0443 and p0446.I've replaced the purgecut valve and my check engine light has be reset, but it came back on a few hours later. can anyone help with what else could be wrong with this EVAP system. The dealer that I bought the car from was supposed to fix this problem, but I believe that they disconnected my check engine light because the metal connectors on the bulb had been torn off. You see they replaced the tac for me when I bought the car. Now they're not claiming any liability and I can't pass inspection. If you ever go to Madison Save Alot in Madison, NC. I wouldn't recommend buying anything (Ran along with Barber Chevy in Madison, NC.)

you need a lawyer. i am in va but i believe that is illegal in nc as well.

as for the dtc...you need to check the vent control valve. it is the valve bolted to the evap canister with two 6mm bolts(10mm head). it has a fat hose coming off and an electrical connector with two wires. pull it off and blow through it. then apply 12v. it should click and either block off the passage of air or allow air through. i cant remember which of the top of my head. whats important is that 12v changes wether air passes through or not.

I found it, along with three electrical connectors in that same area and am working out the problem now. I'm might need to change the three small hoses, connecting to the canister and valve. I have one code left p0446, and it's not my gas cap. I just don't have a service manual yet and I'm alittle broke. I'm going to try the library tomorrow, but if you have some thing you can send, I'd be grateful
