you could crimp instead of solder :)

but I'm pretty sure you need to bypass the factory amps

anyway, i have soldered up all the power connections to the plug that came with my head unit. i did like it says in here http://www.installdr.com/Insta...1.pdf and i went by the positions on the plug rather than the color of the wires, because they didnt match up. could anyone check if that is correct?

that's wierd... I bought the antenna adapter but never ended up using it because the antenna attachment fit my new head unit and my radio works fine (Pioneer DEH-5500P)...

i know when i installed my clarion deck all i needed to do was get the new antennae adapter, after everything was hooked up through the factory harnesses it all worked fine, i then tried running wires directly to my speakers bypassing the amps.....much better sound quality and tons more power...this obviously may not work for everyone......but sum things to check would be fuses, ground, acc and power. hope this helpsgraham

if installing your radio seems that difficult you should try going to your local car stereo shop and get it installed. most places charge $30-$50 to install a radio and it could save youa butt load of problems

When you get a chance, you should run new wire rather than use the stock wires crimped together. I originally bypassed the stocks and when I ran new wire, MUCH better sound quality.
