Hi guys, I need some help. I have a 92 nissan 240sx se it auto. The motor is ka24de, with 128k miles on it. I just got this car about 2 months ago. I did a basic tune-up, i search that you put a 300zx fuel fiter, so i did that. I change the spark plug and wires to ngk. Also put in a AEM Short ram intake. Well the problem, I'm having with the car is that dont know how to said it i gueess it " lag". This morning going to the store car start it up fine, once i back-up out of the drive-way, still doing good, once i put it in drive, i hit the gas some dude was coming behide me pretty fast i hit the gas, the car just when slower to catch speed, i didn't even peel out, it never done that before. Thank god that car didn't hit me, drove around me. Could it be the spark plug, or the transmission?. thanks anyone one help me out.

you should be able to feel the engine miss firing (spark plug), did you forget to plug everything back into your short ram?also replace the cts (coolant temp sensor), clean the MAF and throttle body, and the AICV. and also the O2 sensor wouldn't hurt.don't forget about the search button (located at the top of your screen)edit: new cap and rotor too

I did plug everything back into the short ram, Well i also removed the valve pair i f i remeber that where the aicv, or i could be wrong. Well ill replace the cts and clean out the mat and throttle body see if that work. As for the o2 sensor is it best to get one at autozone, or from nissan, what I know that autozone i would have to cut it down right? also did a new cap and rotor also. Well thanks for the help.

i would get the o2 censor from the dealer, most likely one you will get from autozone it will be universal, i'm not sure how they are different, but it can't cost much to get one from the dealer (also not sure though) hopefully someone with more info on this will chime in

If the o2 sensor doesnt work. It could also be your fuel pump. Check fuel pressure. It should be around 40psi i think (check FSM). Mine would also lagged for a couple of months untill my fuel pump finally decided to die. I put it in a Walbro 255 and now i have zero lag. If you have something less than that psi, then that would explain why you go slow instead of fast when ypu punch it. It used to happen to me.
