Trouble starting...

Alright i swapped another a single cam in my friedns 240 after he blew his and i have it all hooked up and when i tried to start it, it just cranks no firing or anything.

Ive changed the distributor, spark plugs, injectors, everything i can think of.

Ive come down to something internally.

Can bad compression keep your engine from starting.

Im gonna check the comp. tomorrow and see how it is.

I was just wondering this could cause any problems in start up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
