I have had an intermittent problem with starting my 2013 Rogue.

On four occasions I turned the key in the ignition and there was no response. It did not respond at all, as if there was no battery or the car was in gear. I played with it and discovered that if I moved the gear shift from Park to Low and back again a few times the car then started with no problems.

The dealer checked and could not find anything wrong. They reset three computers and that helped for three months but I had the problem again yesterday. They told me that the next time it happened I should call and have it towed to the dealership so they could check it when it was acting up. I won't bother because in the process of towing the driver will move the gear ship a few times and that will clear up the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have they checked the ignition switch key lock solenoid? Another possibility is that the key starter solenoid control wire could have a bad connection.

Neutral safety switch or connection to it.

Unless you purchased it used with a 90 day limited warranty, your vehicle is still under full factory warranty. I'd take it back to the dealership and have them look at it.

Since I am able to get it to start I thought it was a problem with a fitting or a switch. I will take these suggestions with me the next time I go to the dealer.

Thanks all for your suggestions.
