'Ello guys

My bf is in the process of taking out his VG n/a out (long story, front clip with jdm vg30dett will be here thursday)

He's following the writeups on TTZD.com(http://ttzd.com/tech/enginetech.html)but he can't manage to get the ps pump off. He loosened a bolt somewhere, and but the tensioner for the belt won't loosen. To make it more to the point what is it you have to do to remove the power steering pump or to move it out of the way?

there is a nut from the front you have to loosen first before the tensioner will realese the tension on the belt. then there is another up top if its to tight it wont allow the pump to pivot when loosening the tensioner adjuster. But to remove it completey just remove both bolts and push the pump toward the fender well. I will look down into a z today and try to give you a better pinpointing reffrence as where the bolts are exactly.

ok poked my head under one today. The bottom nut is just above the altenator belts top span. The top bolt is removed through the power steering pump pulley it is slighty toward the engine side of the pump behind the pulley. remove those 2 bolts and it will move freely to the side.

Thanks Nistech, he managed to get it off while i was at work today, and most of the harness and other accessories out. Soon a v30dett will be in its place.
