trouble passing emissions

anyone have trouble passing emissions with their ca. ive gone through 2 times with 2 different cats but i failed in hydrocarbons horribly. anyone know what i can do? any tips? im getting impatient.

Move to a state without emissions. Honestly, the motor was never designed to conform to US EPA regulations. Most people just slip a shop some $ under the table and they magically pass.

I had to lean mine out to get it to pass with my safc.

If its just hydrocarbons this is your best bet. Buy an safc off of ebay, pass the test, resell on ebay. That being said I'm taking c-rad's option and selling my car to my parents for $1 so it can be registered in their neighboring, friendlier state.
