trouble mounting my rb20

Ok so here is the deal i got mckinny mounts from a local shop here and they fit great on the xmember before i got my transmission bolted to the block i sat my engine in the car to see how it would fit it fit great went in easy. i pulled it back out got my transmission mounted to the block and now here is the issue i went to put it in last night and nothing wants to lign up now. i can only get one side of the engine mounts and then the exhaust side is way off i tried for 5 hours lastnight and cant seem to get it in. is there any tricks to getting it in or something im missing? any help would be much appriciated

Did you already bang in the firewall with a hammer. You need to make room because the RB Transmission is too big.
