OK- so I have been working on getting the engine out of my 92 convertible. I have all the electrical unhooked, radiator out ,etc. I cannot get to the bellhousing bolts at the top of the back of the motor.I know you guys have all done this a bunch, any ideas? Also the big pipe coming around from the intake to the exhaust is not wanting to move. Thanks in advance.I have pics if I can figure how to post them.Image

Are you pulling the engine to work on motor? or swap? If you're swapping just cut that pipe on the exhaust, you don't need it for the swap. Otherwise good luck trying that out. The bolts on the top of the bellhousing are actually easier than you think. Loosen the motor mounts bolts, remove the trans mount and put the hoist under the front of motor and lift. This will cause the trans to tilt down. You should be able to access the bolts on the top of the bellhousing now (swivels and extensions are your friends). I hope this helps. Sorry on the return tube on the exhaust.. maybe some PB Blaster on the bolts will help them loosen.
