I have Nissan Maxima 2004. My service engine Soon light came on about a week ago... I diagnose it with the OBD 2 scanner and it gives me 2 codes: P1148 (Closed Loop Control (bank1) & P1168 (Closed Loop Control (bank2) I have no idea what that is???? I consult with the dealer, but they said we have no idea bout that we have to put our scanner on to find out and they charge $100 just to diagnose the codes.. If anyone knows about that plz advise. Im new to this forum, u guyz are genius !! Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like an oxygen sensor issue to me. I'll try to look around and see what I can find.

Normally one looks up each code in their copy of downloaded FSM and follows detailed diagnostic proceedures to confirm defects.

These newer wideband O2 seem to have a shorter life than old fashioned heated O2 sensors.

Your car need to clean the intake air system and tune-up because maybe you use diferent can of gasolin or diferent place to put it on.Check the sensors with a tester for continuity. Both are the same, and is imposible that 2 sensors are not good.Maybe you need to replace one of them ,if they have 4 wires each.
