80% of the membership here is "Gen Y". True, or a cop-out?

Where do you guys draw the line, and what's the "solution" - if any? Thicker skin? More respect? A bit of both?

I was on a site that was basically a troll site and I can say, even in serious tech conversation, trolls would absolutely ruin it. There is a time and place and a respectable troll (oxymoron) would know the difference.

Personally, I hate trolls. Ruins good threads sometimes.

All of Youtube. It's rather amusing to see the comments on someone's piano cover of a pop song turn into a heated religious debate. If you want to see crude human behavior, that's the place for it.

"Its just twitter its not real life" and "its not real life its just facebook" are my two favorite lines that people say.

Is facebook some fantasy land where you talk to AI's about you're fake life? Twitter and Facebook are ways to interact with people, in real time, in real life. What you say is read by others as YOU saying it. You post stupid things, people will think you're stupid. You act like an a** on Facebook, guess what, you're an a** outside of facebook as well.
