Which sensor controls the RPM of the KA 24E when it comes to engine temperature versus RPM....i.e. if you start the car the RPM's are higher versus after is warmed up during the day.....

I just had the cylinder block gasket replaced and when I start the car in the morning, it hesitates a little, until it reaches operational temperature.....I check all hoses, connections, etc and no luck....Found a loose ground, but no changes....other than that runs perfect ....

Try checking the water temperature sensor. It is located on the intake manifold or it should be and it should be one of two sensors closest to the upper radiator hose. It is a two terminal sensor. The one next to it should be your one terminal sensor for the temperature gauge. But you want to look at the two terminal one. Having said that, disconnect it and use some electrical component cleaner on it assuming that there could be some corrosion on it. When your done, use some dielectric grease and reconnect it. This might solve your problem. Good Luck!!

your ecu looks at water temp and oxygen sensor readings before the car will go into closed loop operation. since it is a heated o2 sensor, it ignores those readings until the car is warmed up.
