I don't know about those states, but when I went to AZ I was going about 5-10 miles over the speed limit (with the flow of traffic) and got pulled over. When he pulled me over I had to get out of the way of a Cadillac De Ville which was going 100+ he stilled pulled me over and let the Cadi go....what ever. He got me out of the car and was givin me a hard time about my license plate (YZARCUR) and wanted to know what it ment. I told him wiser car when I asked him what he got me going at he said he couldn't remember. I told him how fast I was going and that it was a hell of a lot slower then the Cadi the flew by. He started to get cool about it and only gave me a warning.

What I am trying to get at is I think he was doing a little car profiling and when he notice me he just figured I was going faster then everyone else and because he didn't have his radar on he couldn't get me for speeding. Just watch out you will get looks from the police. I always do.

I drive from NJ to Florida a few times a year. There is a speed trap in Va not far from the NC state line on Rt 95 South. I usually take the 295 bypass around Richmond. After you are back on Rt 95 the speed trap is not far from there. The trooper hides in the grass & trees in the center. By the time you spot them its too late. I think its Va that also outlaws radar detectors? My advise is not to go over 5 MPH over the speed limit & leave the radar detector home. Have a fun trip!
