Trip mileage marker not working and MPH needle of by 5 mph!

Ok i have a 91 240sx FB LE,manual.DE. My trip mileage marker works when it wants to and the MPH needle is off by 5 MPH. I know it's off because I have a friend cop and I had her Use her radar while I was going 45 MPH, according to my cluster, and it showed on radar I was only goin 39-40. The trip marker problemjust started happening 3 days ago. Any advice?!!

did you change your wheels to a different size? I would check the speed sensor
