My trip display has been blank for almost a year now. I've had the car up on jackstands for almost a week doing AC work. I put a 'new' compressor in today, reconnected the battery, cranked her up and wouldn't you know it, the trip display lights up now!

This isn't the first time I've had the battery disconnected for days at a time. Not sure what caused it... hope it stays on. I wasn't looking forward to changing the bulbs. I'd changed them a few years back and thought they should have lasted longer. Guess it's something else.

So is your AC blowing cold now?

Naw Jesda,

I pulled everthing down and had been trying to take it for system flush but the place closes before I get there from work with no weekend hrs... And they're doing it for about fifty bucks so I'm not trying to take it anywhere else. I installed the compressor today but left the lines hanging. I'm really trying to do this the right way, although I won't be changing any hoses which is what some suggest.

Am currently recovering from achilles tendon rupture... it snapped clean during a racquetball game in early January. I've had surgery and now in therapy. It kind of puts a damper on things...I do everything with moderation... taking my time.

I'll be sure to post the results once the work is done.
