trim work

I am doing some body work on my car and want to pull this trim off without wrecking it so i can reuse it. Can anybody help?

Hi GC, welcome aboard!

I've not seen that removed without damage, but I'll try to get some bodyshop guys in here to answer your question.

I'm sure it can be done successfully.

I just pulled out the insulation gasket thingy (I think there is some screws on it) and there are screws on that trim to pull it off.There shouldn't be any demage, unless u rush

I think the FSM shows either screw or snaps holding the trim....maybe you need to take a look at the section showing that .....it should be an FSM you can download in the FAQ's forum......I looked into that one time I was going to repaint mine.....

Yeah it's pretty easy to reinstall, except the gasket insulation thingy, bit tricky but you'll get it, plus If You have it off it's nice to sand it and put a coat of gloss black on it, but thats only me cuz I had a lot of dings and nicks in it

Alright I just got the trim off.First you pull out the weatherstrip stuff, which is wedged in. I just carefully pryed one side out and it popped out. There is some snaps on either end which come out. Unscrew the trim and thats it. Pretty easy
