I wonder if you can spray paint that sucker chrome and save some $$$, if you dont like it, you can always strip it later.

Other than that, no, Im not sure where to get one or if you even can.

if it is black you have the 1.6L base model, not the s model.

It's just called the trunk finisher usually. I haven't seen a chrome one before. Have you found one?

I tried ebay but no luck. And I would paint the one I have right now but Im not sure if that voids my warranty.

Has anyone painted theirs? Or purchased one from Nissan or any other site?

I think you are safe to paint that without voiding your warranty.

It's just the finisher of your trunk, so what could possibly break on a finisher that you would need replaced and have void by painting?

It won't void your warranty on anything unless you try to paint it in the car. Your dealership might have a problem with that due to ovespray.

The worst deal out of it is you might get a contact buzz from inhaling spray paint fumes.

Not a bad price. Does it say what color it is?

it says it is the s model with power, only the base model 1.6L has the black piece.

That's true, it should still fit my L sedan right?

Thanks for the info. Im confused right now because I just de-badged it and I love how it looks. The only thing is that the trim piece is black and the "Nissan" emblem is chrome so I might paint the emblem to match the trim piece. Here are a couple pics of the work in progress...

Looks great.
