Zaino just didn't cut if for my black G. So I'm trying out a new product from Meguiar's called NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Apparently...on the front of the box.. there's a black G35 with an immaculate shine (or so I think it's a G35). So this should work for mine too right???

On a more serious note, I've never used Meguiar's products before. If you have used Meguiars before...what were your experiences with their products?

In defence of Zaino....My Camaro is 14 years old, original paint. There is no telling how many coats of Zaino I have on it and the car litterally GLOWS! I can't tell you how many times someone has asked me who painted my car.

I've used Meguiar's, Zymol and others but once I found Zaino in 2003, there's no turning back. Just apply every six months - Car Wash (Z7), Car Polish (Z2 or Z5 for swirl marks & scratches), then Gloss Enhancer (Z6). For deeper shine, apply gloss enhancer before and after the car polish. For the ultimate shine, I use on my black 97Q the Grand Finale Spray Seal (Z8). Apply clay bar every 2-3 years and the paint will last for a long long time.

Carnauba wax (Souveran, et al gives a very good shine but you have to apply it every 3 months or more often.

with having relatively little experience with car care (19 yr old) I picked up some of the NXT Tech Wax 2.0 paste to get rid of the swirl marks on my black altima coupe, worked ok if i remember correctly. I still use the NXT on my G, although its not black, still makes it shine.

and yes your right it is a G on the front

Have not use Zaino yet, but I have used NXT which worked ok. I liked ICE better. I then used Black Box which looked great for awhile. Recently tried Mother's FX which so far looks like it worked better but when the car went into Infiniti the last time I think they washed it with a machine. I have been waiting to wax it again with Mother's since then but everytime I have been off it has either rained or setting some sort of temperature records. Hope to get some more use of it soon.

Has anybody tried the Mother's wax with the little spongy polishing ball? I got one in a goody bag at a car show and I haven't had the nerve to use it.

I'd pass on that for your car.

Hand waxing (unless you have the proper equipment) is always a better idea - Especially with a black (NEW) car!

Thanks. I was kind of afraid of it too. I might use it on my husband's riding lawnmower.

Talking about the powerball? I have one, but only to use on wheels. Didn't know anyone used them on their cars.

I do need to go pick up a machine to apply wax and buff it. Will need to put a coat on the G sometime soon. No clue if its ever been waxed, but its hardly been driven so still appears ok.

Yeah...that is what I'm talking about. Looks like a huge swirl maker to me.

Well I would use any circle motions on a black car anyway. I have 3 that aren't black currently, so going to be lazy and get a buffer. Though my G is the only one with salvagable paint currently, other two need paint jobs.
