I tried to start my RB25 (series 1) this evening and the fuel pump came on etc... and when I turned the key I just got a really loud single click from the starter and could feel the engine jolt.

There was smoke coming from the starter too....

Need help?

tried tapping the starter with a broom handle...lol

Starter is wired from original KA lower harness... JonPowell said to skip the 8th step in the 8-step guide.

Thanks,Daniel

Holy f*** batman!..... I just poured a half gallon of gas out of my intercooler piping....!!!

While trying to crank the car it flooded gas to the top of the intake manifold.....wtf??

I need help severely... I truly believed the car would start when I turned the key..

SOunds like your starter is fried. Is it grounded properly? Are you getting spark? Before you check that I would suggest cleaning up the gas and fumes!

Also, look into Murphy's laws.
