Went a little too big off a drop and ended up going about 20ft past where I wanted to land. Landed on a mound of snow and got hucked into the woods. Hit is going probably 35-40 mph. I came out of this very very lucky. I thought i shattered my femur on impact but after a little self evaluation I new it wasn't that bad. My knee is pretty damn messed up. Off to get an MRI and Xray, 4.5 hour ride home was brutal.

Damn bro. We almost lost a Learned'd member. Glad to hear you're okay. Just remember, the invisibility cloak doesn't work against trees. Don't ask why, it just doesn't.

I am very very lucky. If I had hit my upper body I could have been killed. On a better not I got my first face full of canuck crotch.
Guy straddled my face and kept leaning over to check my leg. My friend carl(in orange) helped out a ton as well every the rest of our group. This is his trust me I'm a doctor pose.

A good friend of mine actually just had a similar skiing accident. He managed to pulverize a vertebrae. The surgeon said that he'd never seen anyone walk after that type of injury, but apparently my friend has an extra one (they said like 10% of the population does).

Anyway, here's wishing for a speedy recovery.

ZING!!!

No major knee damage. A quarter way up my calf to 3/4s the way up my thigh is just one massive bruise.

So can you put any weight on it? That looks like it would sting.

You should go to home depot and be all "hey can you match this color for me" and show 'em that bruise.
