Tried to buy a Versa tonight

Well, after agonizing over what car I want to buy (sedan or hatchback, especially), I finally decided on a Versa - I am sold on it and very excited about buying one. I had test driven the exact one I wanted a couple of days ago (magnetic grey SL with CVT, sunroof, convenience package, ABS, sport package), and I called this afternoon to make sure it is still available. They told me it was, so I drove down to the dealership only to find out that at that very moment they were working a deal on that Versa with some other people. Well, the other people got it and I left the dealership with nothing. There is only one other car with my specs in all of Texas, and it may or may not have sold this weekend, too. Put a $500 deposit down on it in case it is available and will find out on Monday. Like I said, I'm totally sold on the Versa and reading everyone else's posts here has made me even more sure about my decision. Here's hoping I can get one soon!

I just bought mine earlier today! It's a Hatchback Sapphire Blue SL 6 speed manual, with the Tech and Sports Package here in Canada!

I'd been waiting since November to get it and I am totally psyched!! I know I've made an excellent decision.

Forgot to mention this, too. On my way home from the dealership I pulled up next to one - the first Versa that I had ever seen on the streets. I smiled at them but it was sort of bittersweet. I'm jealous.

Hey, go to nissanusa.com and search out Versas here in Oklahoma. There are quite a few.

The called me tonight to say that the other Versa is available, and I'll have it on Wednesday!!! I'm so excited.

that is pretty much the same package I want to get (though I could do without the audio package - not interested in satellite radio anyway)

none of the dealers around me have the ABS with the convenience package though
