How far did you advance it?

Did you adjust the IAC too?

Rob my mechanic did it - tried to advance from 15 to 17.i asked the same and he did not touch the IAC.

Setting base ignition advance requires the Consult [special screen to set]to lock out IAC and ECU from changing the number to try to maintain idle.

At the very least you disconnect IAC connection during the resetting process.

I wonder why I was able to advance on my old engine (one thought - my idle was set very high at the time @1000)When I reconnect the IAC it wont jump back ??
