Hi, due to the fact that my car and my brother got stolen, i need something to prevent thieves from stealing them. I had alarm on my car, which some how they bypassed it, haven't found the car yet. My brother car didn't have an alarm, stripped, and found on donuts. To cut the story short, when I get my 240, I need to have a fuel cut off switch, and a switch that when my car is disabled, with the switch is on position, the horn or the alarm siren goes off. My friend can probably know how to do the fuel cut off switch, since he did it to his car. I'm wondering if you guys can help me, and any other car lovers out there a step or two above the thieves. Any instructions will be fine. I couldnt' find any from the net, maybe you could, who knows. Thanks.

My car was broken into last August. The idiots busted out my window and stole the faceplate to my radio. I have toyed around with the idea of putting cameras in my office and then at night, flipping them on and focusing them at the car.

they haven't found my car yet...but they found my brother's. His Delsol was stripped, from motor (b16), exhaust, rims, spoiler, deck, my PS2, tennis rackets, and worse, our toothbrushes, and my brother's underwear...fuc king ***holes I tell ya. Oh, 89sx...i did appointed the last quote to you, so what? Your comment wasn't found helpful to me, that's why I said that. What are you gonna do? Cry me a river?

1) Why were your toothbrushes in the car? To polish up after you pack back the meat popsicle all night? : )

2) Underwear in the car too eh? See previous statement. : )

3) I follow the general rule of peace through superior firepower, all you have to do is castrate just 1 thief with a 50 cal deagle, and the rest will learn. Plus, then they never know if one of the crazy winos hanging out by the car is actual theft protection. : )

4) Lowjack or fuel cut, apparently you can get clubs now that have high voltage running through them, I'm not sure how they'd be powered, but it would be entertaining nonetheless. You can't electrify your car, but if you electrify the club, when that hack saw comes out they'll never be rid of the memory after it fuses to their skin. : ) Assuming they survive that is.

The only problem with shocking a thief is that they will probably sue your a**, for medical, emotional distress, and all that good stuff. Get something that incapacitates them, and then find a good place to hide the body! And where was the thing parked? Out in BFE? How did soembody not notice someone ripping out THE WHOLE MOTOR? Is that a common thing where you live? If so, my suggestion for keeping your car intact is to move.

Okay I seen this in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds.....when the guys get the jeep there's snake in there......get you a 7ft burmese python......lol

My mom's friend has 2 burmese python and her "pocket friend". 1 snake is 14ft long, the other is 7ft long (still growing). Her pocket friend is about I'm guessing 3ft long; she calls it her pocket friend b/c she went to see close friend at the store. They told her no more snakes and her son says "oh you havent seen the pocket friend." She lets her snakes ride in her car and they crawl across the dash, go under the seats.

Get you a boa or something big (if you like snakes) and keep it in your car when you leave. Might work. lol

Nothing like the fear of your own snake constricting you as you're driving down the road smelling like the McDonald's cheeseburger you had for lunch.

Is it just me or is everyone else having a hard time deciphering this gibberish? I had to read the first post in this thread like four times just to get a general idea of what the heck was going on. Illiteracy kills. :D :D

I'ts not a good idea if you have a turbo timer but I take out the fuse to the fuel pump in my car and put a blown one in it's place. They will get two houses down before they have to start pushing:) Another idea I was playing with was a combo of some of the other sugestions given. Just hook a relay up to your alarm so when it goes off it opens the circuit that goes to your fuel pump, and then put one of those new clubs that locks up the clutch (or brake) petal for good measure.

Peace.

yeah I actually got one of those for like 60 bucks, and neither of my cars has been stolen yet. It's a pretty solid piece, doesn't look like anyone would be able to cut through it easily, and picking the lock seems pretty hard to since it's a barrel-style (or whatever its called) keyhole. Still won't keep people from stripping your car, or, as is the case with many people here lately, just having it towed away by any thief with a pickup truck. My brother just got a viper alarm for his prelude, still needs to install it, I wanna see how it works out, might consider getting one.........

I watched the 30minute informercial for that scratch removal GS-27 stuff, I bought the stuff, followed the directions step-by-step on some light scratches, didn't do a damn thing. Most infomercials are just a load of crap, just useful for when there's nothing else on t.v.

if i remember right, it's been like 2 months since i've seen it...but...there are 3 rubber suctions(like the ones on bathtub toys) and the one in the middle is what does the work. you center the middle one on the dent, and you tighten the other 2 down until the dent magically pops out. it must not work though, since they haven't shown that infomercial in a while. you know they're gonna be worth it if they show the informercial every night for 2 years straight...like the Ronco cooker(it works well) and girls gone wild.

Install a Viper. Install a fuel cut-off to back up the Viper..put on The Club to slow them down. Your Infiniti will probably be there in the morning.

yeah i was pretty convinced when i saw the two guys breaking screwdrivers and banging away at it for 10 mins to no avail.

and then they shoot it with a 12 gauge shotty, and it looks fine. though using a shotgun prob isn't the bravest test...5.56 slugs with fmj would snap that thing in half like a chickenbone.

anyway i'll prob get one. once i get my car. :thinker

I have the AutoLock, but no ones actually tried to steal my car. 240s are not desireable. However there is a Civic Si that has one at school, and it hasn't been stolen, I'd think that is a better testament, since you can't own a SI for more than a couple of months without it getting broken into, or stolen.

Best thing (although kinda time consuming), pull out your spark plug wires. Car won't start, kids won't have time to look and see what the problem is. This of course doesn't solve the flatbed tow away problem, but it works. My friend's car has been broken into twice (he has some useless high prices alarm system), and the only reason the car wasn't stolen was because he had the plug wires with him.
