Any recommendations for a trickle charger to keep a battery charge while on extended vacation?

ThanksKen K

I was thinking about a charger that I could also put on once a week or so to "top up" the battery in my daily driver, as well. Perhaps the two different applications need different equipment...??

Is 1.3 amps enough to do both tasks?? Sorry about not having been more clear.

I really like Battery Tender brand. I use them for my motorcycles and my car while they're stored for the winters. It'll run you about $60.

I have had some success with the cheap-o ones from Harbor Freight, but I don't know that they're ultra reliable. I had one (maybe two) fail eventually.

I have an old Sears trickle charger that still works 30 years on. The other one did fail after 20 years.

After doing some research, I ordered the Battery Minder 12117.

Awesome! Let us know how you like it- I am sure plenty of members here could use one for their garage queens and other infrequently driven cars and other toys.
