trick to re-pinning

probably a dumb questions, but what is the trick to pulling the wires out of a connector when re-pinning, like ecu connector?

It's not a dumb q. It took me forever to figure it out and I did forget exactly how I did it.Get a pin/safety pin and stick it in the hole like you do with your GF and wiggle it around. You'll get it just put it in and don't be a puss. lol

MUCH better way then cutting the dash connector. You unsnap the long plastic clips first. Then take a flashlight and look from the back and front of the connectors. I cant remember but use a paperclip and you will see the clip in there. When you hit it right it should come right out. Be careful they will break if you just jam it around in there, but I didn't break any.

I like to use a pick, from a hook and pic set or even a lock pick set. I find that works well.

thanks for the reply, i just used a paper clip. it worked ok but not great
