yo, i am not posting to come at anybody, i am only here to help...
i know a way to get the sleepy eye effect on s13s without cutting any wires, buying or modifying anything. all you need is the headlight button and a little bit of patience. listen up
first of all... wraith, you need to just take a little bit of extra time to re-read what you type after you type it. nobody can understand what you are trying to say because you leave words out and the words that aren't left out are misspelled. just take your time because people don't always write exactly what they are thinking, especially on the computer because nowadays people actually type faster than they can think of what they want to say. now on to the sleepy eyes......
i discovered this because i removed my dashboard trim and i had to remove the buttons in the process of taking the trim off. maybe my car is completely f***ed up and it's not supposed to do this, but it worked for my car
when i was reinstalling my dashboard trim, in this case the button for my headlights, i had a hard time - but it worked out for the better because i learned how to have free, unmodified sleepy headlights
what i did was:removed the button from its spot and found the harness directly behind the button.
i removed the harness from the button and clicked it so that it was in the "headlights up" position.
then i touched the harness to the button(do not reconnect the harness, just enough so that the wires make contact and the lights move).
after the headlights went up, i pulled the button away from the harness and clicked it so that it was in the "headlights down" position.
then i touched the harness to the button and very quickly pulled it away. if you do it correctly the lights will move just a little bit, but they won't go all the way back down.
i did that until i achieved the look i wanted and then i put the button back in the hole, WITHOUT REATTACHING THE HARNESS. if you reattach the harness or turn the headlights on (including your high beams), the lights will return to the down position.
it may be a pain in the *** to do, but you dont have to try to figure out which wires to cut or try to source one of those useless pivot headlight things.
let me know if it works for you, or if my car is just f***ed up.
