Anyone in the tri state area that can recommend some shops for good quality installs on ACs? Exhaust, lowering kits, body kits, basically anything I cant do myself...I have had two different local shops tell me they cant do my Y-Pipe and Borla because it was illegal.

Any help is appreciated. Im in northern NJ smack in the middle of PA and NYC.

Tried the All Tune and Lube here in Dover, the owner's name is Melo, if you didn't go there I think he'll do the job. It's located where Rt 15 starts right off Rt 46. I take my car and my wifes, great work.

I actually went to him too, hes Turkish I think? He said he could it all but was CRAZY expensive. The Y-Pipe he wanted $60, not too bad. Eibach kit he wanted over $500? Rediculous...

I dont have the rest of the exhaust yet so I didnt even ask him, but the Meinekee on 46 in Rockaway and the Midas on 46 in Dover both told me they wouldnt even touch the car if I was going to be putting the Y Pipe in because eventually "authorities" will think they are the ones that removed the 3rd cat. I told them it was even monitored and the shrugged me. Whatever, I'll get ATAL to do the Y Pipe and keep searching otherwise.

Thanks.

He's actually Brazilian and yes kind of expensive, but does great work, when I had my sentra I had him do everything to it. Good luck then, maybe I'll catch you around.

Wow the accent fooled me, Brazilian? I'll take your word for it I guess. Im definitely going to have him do the Y-Pipe, not sure about the rest of the mods I want.

Def jealous on the 2010, if I do catch you around I'll pull a fast U-turn and bolt the other way! I see in your profile you are in audio? Installer? I have an entire Coupe to gut, right now planning on going to Sound Waves in P'sippany.

why dont you just do the Y-pipe yourself? shouldnt be too hard. i've unbolted parts of the exhaust system myself several times. all you need is a wrench and some WD40.... springs, theirs a write up on here some where that shows how to do it but I myself wouldnt do it myself because its something ive never done before and involves more risk.

I dont have a lift (obviously) or any kind of stands to hold the car up on and Im not putting it on blocks, really never messed with anything other than an intake myself so Id rather have it done correctly, you know?

pay him to do the Y-pipe if you're worry about doing it yourself.

but the springs aren't too bad. There's a write-up on how to do the springs. You don't need a lift or anything, just a floor jack and a jack stand, which the jack stand should be pretty cheap like $20-30?(cant remember) the back ones shouldn't take you more than 30-1hr depending on if you have help. The front are a bit of a biatch, but u can rent a spring compressor at autozone or kragen. I lowered my old car in 5hrs, first time lowering a car. better than spending 500 for springs

i did my y-pipe and springs myself. its frustrating at times but the satisfaction you get in the end is definately worth it. also the fact that you didnt spend hundreds on labor is nice. you could use that money and buy another mod :D

Yeah the more I think about it...I think Im definitely going to do the Y Pipe myself. Maybe I'll recruit the help of one of my boys to do the springs. Im just not that experienced and I dont want to put myself or others in danger when my suspension buckles at 95 MPH on the highway because I missed a bolt or something.

Gladiator just got back from 1320...couldnt be happier. $200 For the springs, the whips in the shop are SICK. Thanks for the recommendation.

Bundy if you want anything done that ATAL wont do or is too expensive, I suggest you check this shop out. About 45 minute drive for us, exit 137 off the parkway.
