Ok, my s14 turbo is no longer spinning. I am not sure that I can even rebuild it. So im thinking of putting one of these in and I am unsure of buying something so important from ebay. Help. SHould I buy this or a new CHRA and replace that?

The main problem with ebay turbos is the manufacturing process. It is of such low quality that it is terribly inconsistent. That being said you can have a turbo that lets go of it's blades within the first week, or you can run one for years with no problems (I've heard of people who have done this). The main reason I'd avoid them is that you can never be sure.

Those turbo's are a coin-toss. I love mine, but have heard plenty of nasty stories about them too though. If you go that way make sure that you get one with a waranty!

We are putting one for our customer, he got it from the same guy`s. I let you know what happen when we get the car running.I told him no ebay stuff. just to let you know it is really a poor quality turbo by just looking at it. casting is too light.

Believe it or not SSA... haha I laugh about it too. The turbo was actually backwards when I got it. I had to spin both the exhaust & compressor housing to make it work. But with all that it still works like a champ for 2 years now. Really lucked out. Hopefully sooner than later I'll be changing over to a top-mount setup.

You know, I would rather get one from them than this one from trendy! There is a lot of discussions about ssac on this site and half are good and half are bad. I think it might be a good "review" article.
