trash can car chase!!!!

Well this is my first post here but i have been poking around on this site for about 2 years now since i got a 1990 s13.This site has been so great for info that i have not had to make a single thread about a problem, just use the search bar.

So anyway, i thought i would share an interesting story as my first post.last week i was sitting on the computer dorking out when i heard a car pull and stop in front of my house (this was at 11:30pm)so i yanked the curtain back and saw what appeared to be a 16 or 17 year old hop out of a 89 honda accord and kick my trash can over,there was a huge mess in my front yard.so they take of down the road and meanwhile im standing at the window in my boxer shorts not believing what i just saw.So i scooped up my keys and jumped im the mighty 240sx with hardly no clothes on and no shoes. i do alot of fast back road driving in my 240 but this would turn out to be the first test of this cars handling.oh by the way my car has stock suspension,auto trans and a single slammer engine(fresh rebuild with exhaust and aftermarket k&n).even though my car suffers from those things ther was still no way those kids could come close to losing me.This chase went on for abouth 12 minutes through town and avenues.i kept passing them and ripping the e -brake in front of them for an attempt to get them to stop.they would just turn around and go the other direction every time i got them to stop .finally i got around them one last time and had them backed up against a curb.I jumped out ( i have never seen 3 teenagers eyes get so big with fear in my life) i ran up to the car and the driver is desperately trying to get his car around mine and he hops the curb and drives on the sidewalk .so he finally gets his car going while im screaming at them and i deck the side window with my fist with one last outrage .I decided to call it a night after that due to getting satisfaction of seeing fear from them.

So i guess the moral of the story is- if you are going can tipping at night ,do not pick the house with all the lights on and a 240sx sitting in the driveway.not a good choice

for having a auto trans , and stock suspension this car truly impressed me.The auto trans is getting yanked soon,i already have a my 5 speed parts rounded up.Im not to concerned with power at this point just handling and 5 speed.plus i just spent a good chunk of change polishing a turd(sohc ka) so it has to stay under the hood for a while or else i will have a pissy wife.

3. punch out their window (or at least kick the car and leave a dent)

ya i kept the car in the garage for a few days to lay low just in case they were planning revenge .240 glass is getting a little hard to find .

240's make good chase cars. i chased some guys down that assaulted a state trooper and ran. was cool to be in a high speed chase and not be the one in trouble.
