When you get 550WHP then you'll need to worry, until then your set with the stock transmission.

cryo treat is. if i felt comfortable tearing a transmission apart i'd do it. a local shop charges $15 a batch which is more than enought for a complete motor.

Could you post up info for that place? If I can't find anyone locally, I'd like contact info for someone I can ship to. Thanks.

eh, i called them and they said now they send their parts off to 300 below in florida. Quoted me $60 + shipping for complete stacks of gears. i'd call your local performance/machine shops and ask them where they have it done.

Couldn't you also take an SR20DET transmission and throw the speed sensor and bell-housing off of a KA24 transmission onto it; thus allowing for a flow of aftermarket options for gear sets etc etc. ?

I copied/pasted this off of Cryo Science's website http://www.cryoscience.com

How Cryogenic Treatment Works Cryogenic treatment is one of the most effective treatments to improve the quality, strength and durability of metals.

When metal is formed at atmospheric temperature and pressure the molecules are disorganized and contain weak carbon particles called Austenite. What Cryogenic Treatment does is to convert these disorganized molecules and weak carbon particles into highly organized molecules and very strong carbon particles called Martinsite.

The end result of this conversion is extremely strong and durable metal. Durability (resistance to wear and fatigue) is around 100% (that’s double), the typical increase in strength is 30% to 50%. This results in dramatically reduced replacement costs. In fact typical results are a doubling of the time between engine rebuilds, replacement of disk brake rotors and also doubles the amount of cutting that virtually any blade can do before they need sharpening.

Another benefit of Cryogenic treatment is that the metal becomes a very efficient dissipated of heat. This means engines, transmissions, disk brakes, and cutting tools run much, much cooler.

I believe the SR20DET s13 transmission has the same exact gear ratios. I was just saying that if you wanted to go all out, and spend 10k on a transmission, that this is the way to do it, because you cannot get aftermarket gear sets for the KA transmission.

I believe you can swap out the 300ZX internals though...Ivan did it on the auto transmission...

You mean the 300zx transmission internals into the Ka transmission? Havn't heard of that one before. That would most likley be a cheaper alternative.
