I had my 5speed transs out so i could put a new clutch and flywheel. I have now had two different mechanics look at it. One suggested that i take the pressure plate and clutch back off and slide it on the transs then try to get it in place. And if that does not work i guess i will have to move the engine ahead, which i really dont want to do. I have the front of the enigne jacked up to make it a bit easier. Any suggestions? Thanks

are you having a problem of actually getting the transmission on? what exactly is the problem? id try taking the pressure plate and clutch off and realign them again if your having problems

you just gotta wiggle wiggle wiggle till it goes lol

drop the exhaust, this will tilt your engine downwards and give you a much better angle.

unbolt it, flip the transmission 180 degrees so its upside down, it should slide out easier

my buddies and me have done a couple transmission in 240s and found it to be easy for some reason if when ur sliden the transmission on to have it rotated about 90 degrees or so where the starter position is closest to the ground it seems to slip on pretty easy that way.........

any buddy heard otherwise let me and him know

45-90 deg down on the pass side, slide it in then flip it upward , then install/ tighten the bell housing bolts
