New guy to the forum with a quick, noob question :)

Speaking as a person who lives several hours and hundreds of miles from any sea port, when the car you import lands at one of those ports, what would be the best/easiest way to get it back home? I guess what I'm actually asking is when you get the car landed and cleared and ready to go, will you be given sufficent documentation at that time that will prove the car is yours and legal and that will keep it out of an impound/crusher in the very likely event a cop decides to pull over a strange looking RHD car with no tag driving down the interstate? If hiring a company company or someone with a trailer pick it up is my only real option I'd like to know ahead of time to plan for that extra expense.

Thanks ahead of time!

If you use a truck, they pick it up and move it.

If you drive it you need to get some kind of temporary registration. It might not be possible in every state. Its really not any different than any other car.
