I was wondering the same thing..... courtesyparts.com is the sh*t for that. Instructions seem pretty easy, now i just need to find a remote for cheaper!

The factory keys are $60+ but there is a souce of aftermarket keys with no label that sells keys for less than $30.

Anyone have experience with aftermarkets? Do they work?

What is a transponder key?

Why don't you just go to Walmart and get a copy of the key?

the nissan keys have a chip in them that allow the engine to run if u just get a copy of the key from walmart and dont have the transponder programed the car will start and then die that is what a transponder is its a lil chip inside the key not the remote but the key itself that does this its sort of an anti-theft if some copys ur keys. thats what the transponder keys are from a 16 year olds prespective

i agree with R350Zz33...... the chip in the key is 50% of the key. Its valid in most cars these days.
