transmission wount pass from 1gear some times

Hi my name is Eliezer from PR and I bought a s13 stock a/t and the car start to stay in 1st gear when heat it and the guy says that it would be the transmision filter and I changed but still same it is wierd its do that some times.

Some times when it start stay in the same gear(1st) and I accelerate 7rpm and decelerate and accelerate but dont change.

Some times it changes.

and some times I notice that it changes from 1st fast to 2 fast to 3 like it jumps from 1 to 3 when it stay 1st gear hits 5rpm or more.

I ask to a teacher of a technical school and it says that it would be possible that the TPS will be functioning properly.

please need help it is my everyday car and dont have to much money now to take it to a transmission repair center.

I dont think it would be some serious think because it do it some times.

any help will be appreciate and thanks from the bottom of my heart.

My car did that twice i got 93 240sx convertable auto 177,000 it did that once just strying in first gear and i had an idea and beleive it or not its been working for about 800 miles now i added Lucas stop slip transmission additive i couldnt beleive it myself but it works so my advice to you is give that a shot Maybe you'll get as lucky as i did

Your tech teacher is an idiot. What's a TPS have to do with an autmatic transmission prob.?

Did you try changing the transmission fluid?

I tried lucas stop but dont work and no I did not or have change the oil that is not recomended I change the filter of the transmission.

and the tps have to do something to the transmission but cant xplain.

and what the inhibitor switch do?
