Any other tips on pulling out my transmission. I have the car off the ground, driveshaft unbolted, starter out, harness unplugged and got all the bolts I can see out. Are they any bolts that attach the transmission to Engine on or near the top of the Transmission. If they are, how can I get to those bolts. THanks :help

make sure you've removed the shifter.

Yeah, i forgot about the shifter- but yes there are bellhousing bolts on top of the transmission. Also, you have to wiggle it a little and slide the shaft out of the flywheel about 4-5 inches before it will drop. And there is a shaft that goes from the drive shaft into the back of the transmission that needs to come back about 4 inches.

P.S.- getting to the bolts on top of the transmission while it is in the car isnt an easy task- i pulled the motor out with transmission attached then it was easy. Good luck.

i removed the shifter, the driveshaft, the starter, basically everything except the damn transmission. took out like 10 bolts or so and I see a screw on the top of the transmission, and hopefully that would be it.

You ever get your transmission out? there is a pain in the *** bolt on the very top of the bellhouse, i lowered the trans down a little to make more room between the firewall, sucks for me, I'm 6'2", and 275lbs, so my arms arent that small, and when I start to use force, I get stuck, but I just removed my transmission, took all day long, and I only had hand tools, no air tools, but I can't get the flywheel off, any recommendations?

The flywheel is on there pretty good. I would reccomend an impact wrench if you can get one, but if not, get a large ratchet and slip a 3-4 foot length of pipe over the end (the ghetto breaker bar), this should give you enough leverage to pull the bolts off.

P.S. im assuming you already took the clutch assembly off? If not, take it off first and dont get any grease on it.
