I dont know whats wrong with it. The transmission wouldnt go to D after I installed the new grounding kit. It would go to P but it stucks or jam in between R and N but the monitor shows N. I tired to pry that key thing out and still wouldnt work. Anyone?

Keep me posted on this. I believe you have my phone number if you want to give me a call. If not, email me and I can resend it to you.

I haven't had ANY grounding kit issues with the other Altima owners. Even the 3rd gens, and a Hybrid.

That manual release button should have overridden the transmission. If not, that's even more odd.

Here is what I'd do:

First go over the installation instructions again and make sure you installed everything where it's supposed to go. As a note to everybody, rerouting cables as you see fit is NOT advised.

Second, make sure the only cable going to the battery is going to the NEGATIVE terminal. If it goes to the positive, you have serious issues to deal with.

Third, if that doesn't work, try pulling the negative terminal off for about 10-15 mins. Then reconnect and see what's happened.

Fourth, if all else fails, remove the kit, do another reset and see what happens.

These kits are about efficiency, not about making random connections, so this shouldn't happen because of the kit.
