Transmission will only go forward.

I have a 93 hatchback autotranny. I was cruizin at 70mph when I felt my rearwheels skip. Thats when I realize I just lost my overdrive and had to get off the freeway. Got home and park the car. The next morning I was not able to reverse it or push it back on neutral. I use a jack to pull it back and I was able to drive it in the first 3 gears. Does anybody had this prob and what did you do to fix it? Beside getting a new transmission. Its hard to find a manual transmission in 808.
