No they are different, and also it depends if your car is AWD or RWD. The M37 tranny's are actually more expensive.1080Rider wrote:The one I posted was for the 37's I think. I'm not sure if they use the same trani in both...
There was one for my 2011 M56S RWD. Very noticeable difference in my car. ECU and TCU both are updated per the service bulletin.walt1227 wrote:I just had my oil changed right before Thanksgiving and asked about the transmission update. The dealer told me it would be $120 if there was one out there for the M56S.
Service bulletins are not free unless you are under factory warranty. You pay labor for the update or correction. It is simply information regarding fix's for various well known problems.ProverbPsalms wrote:Is a service bulletin same as a recall? Is that free to do?
You'd need a CONSULT device...and that would just be the beginning. You'd also need the update itself which I can pretty much guarantee you Infiniti would never give you.Nielsio wrote:Is there any way to do the updates without a dealer? Reason I ask is that i don't live in the US however do own a 2010 Fuga (Y51) 3.7 model... Don't really have a dealer to go to here so would be interested in knowing what it would take to be able to perform the update
