Hi Guys...

Just noticed a very interesting thing for my transmission.

For example, your speed is 40km/hour and you brake gently, you will notice a shudder before your car is about to stop at very low speed, however, if you give a hard brake, you will feel nothing. it looks like it happens every time when transmission downshifts to 1st gear, If i just give a little bit gas ( use manual mode and transmission is still in 1st gear) and give a gentle brake, you feel nothing., Dealer told me my transmission looks good so could be the brake problem ? does somebody know ?

Mine does that too. 2010 EX with the 5AT.

But.........recently I notice hard shifts but only from 1 to 2 in the morning or when engine is cold... I will bring it in to check. I believe it might be time for a flush... 85,000km

Yes, I have 2010 ex35 with 5AT around 53000km too... This problem only happens when dealer re-program my TCM, I tested it today and it looks like definitely a transmission issues, If you switch it to neutral and you feel nothing when slowing down.

Could you let me know the problem if you come to see a dealer and Hopefully it is something that I can fix by myself. There is only one dealer in NS and they suck !

Dont know if it is a common problem for everybody or just you and me ...
