So I was just given a 2005 Infiniti G35 coupe as a gift and I want to get the transmission changed to a 6MT. Does anybody know price range and good places in LA I can get it done at?
Please dont say to sell it and buy a new one!!

Sorry, but I've seen plenty of threads like this and the answer is simply, it's not worth it. The cost to change out all the components (ECU, Transmission, wiring harness) and getting the car modded to accept the new drive type generally outweigh the benefits. Probably all said and done around 10k. You're better off selling it an buying a 6MT. The only time it's worth it is a track/show car with some $$ already invested.

Well I'm not too worried about the price because I got the car for free. I'm sure paying 10k for the transmission will be cheaper then buying a new one. The transmission itself is just one piece. You have to get all the other components, wiring, sensors, ECU, etc. that goes with a 6mt.
