ok i know the ka24e's transmission will bolt up to the ka24de but i was wondering about the gearing. i need to swap out the crapy automatic in my 93 but before i start riping into it all i was wondering if there is a diffrence in the gears. I have a 90 240 as well i culd use as a donar for the swap but i need to know which is better to use.

thanks

Gears for the manuals will be the same as other manuals through the years you specified and I think are the same from 89-98. Sensor positions change between s13 and s14. All manuals are different from the gears in any automatic, obviously. Don't know what you mean by which is better. Sounds like you have a 93 automatic transmission and a 90 5speed and 5speed>automatic. If you mean which is better, the 90 manual you have vs a 93 you don't have, then the 90 is better, plus you have a visual example of the completed swap and you have harnesses and all! Sounds like yer good to go.
