um ok I was told that just about any transmission will fit my 90 240sx but i got this transmission froma 93 and there is a little nubin that is blocking the progress. So my question is could i saw that off with out any adverse effects or do I need a whole new transmission.( the nubbin is on the drivers on the bell where the transmission and the engine meet)

I don't know if I'd suggest you do that...

but it sounds like something I'd do, especially if it's just one of the little mating points

just be careful

well, if the bellhousing is not contacting anything and the clutch is aligned then it must be inside. the dowels are too short for that. pilot bushing could be messed up. does the 93 have a crank sensor sticking out the top? i dont think they do but i could be wrong.
